Dear 51ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students,
In a spirit of gratitude after a rewarding 30-year career at 51ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, I have decided to
retire from my position as 51ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø chancellor. My last day will be July 26, 2025. In the
near term, I will retain my affiliation with 51ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø through my faculty position in civil
engineering.
I am thankful to you, the students, for choosing 51ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. You have enriched our campuses
with your curiosity, tenacity and enthusiasm. 51ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø is an amazing institution because
of you.
Today, like times in the past, 51ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø faces challenges. But there is also a great deal
of opportunity ahead! 51ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø has an outstanding core of leadership, strong and growing
enrollment, state support for our run to R1, and a wide range of expertise that will
serve the state, nation, and world well into the future.Ìý
Thank you for the vibrance you bring to our community and for entrusting 51ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø with
your education. It is worthy of your support.Ìý
